This is how Yonge Street Mission is fighting poverty in light of COVID-19

The Yonge Street Mission is a twenty-year-old charity founded in 1896.

Yonge Street Mission은 1896년에 설립된 20년된 자선단체이다.

It serves the needs of the poor and vulnerable in Toronto.

이 단체는 토론토의 빈곤층과 취약계층의 요구를 제공합니다.

We serve roughly 11,000 Unique Individuals every year over hundreds of thousands of visits.

우리는 수십만번이 넘는 방문을 걸쳐 매년 대략 11,000명의 특별한 개인을 도와줍니다.

And we provide all the services necessary to help them move out of poverty.

With the advent of the covid-9 virus,

We took some time to really think about what are the most essential services to deliver

우리는 제공하기 위해 무엇이 가장 필수적인 서비스인지에 대해 생각하는데 시간을 사용했습니다.

 

and we sent home staff that can work from home and they've done that.

그리고 우리는 재택근무를 할 수 있는 스테프들은 집으로 보냈고 그들은 그렇게 했습니다.

And then reorganized everybody else to work in the front line and ramp up three critical Services 

그리고 난 후 일선에서 일하기 위해 다른 모든사람을 재조직 했고 세가지의 중요 서비스를 증가시켰습니다.

So those are the three main things that we continue to offer

And we're offering them in greater volume to try to meet the immediate needs of people in crisis.
